Poetry to Ignite the Mind and Stir the Soul: Me

This poem started you titled YOU and is now called ME. I rather like the fact there is a bit of me a save for myself.

You think you know me, but you can’t see the things I hide.

The voices that I strive to outrun.

You have no idea what thoughts chase my days or dreams torment my nights.

You think you see all I am.

The model person I have crafted just for you.

You only see what I choose to show,

of all the rest you’ll never know.

So take what you see and do as you please.

For it is only myself I save the real me.
