There are lots of things I do which result in people asking me how do you have the confidence to do that. Only things most of us get roped in to. Presenting in front of an audience. Photo shoot for work. By far the most honest and simple answer to the question how do you have the confidence is I don’t have the confidence and I do it anyway. The only way to build your confidence is to do the things which push you outside of your comfort zone. Do them often enough and you may grow the confidence you want.
Confidence is a key ingredient to a happy and successful life. It allows us to take risks, try new things, and achieve our goals. But what if you don’t feel confident? If you’re struggling with low self-esteem, don’t worry, you’re not alone. There are many other things you can do to build your confidence.

Here are a few tips:
- Focus on developing your strengths. Everyone has strengths and weaknesses. Once you know what your strengths are, you can start to focus on developing them. Personally for the weaknesses I just maintain a level on non failure. I accept they are unlikely to ever be my strengths.
- Set realistic goals. When you set goals that are too difficult to achieve, you’re setting yourself up for failure. Instead, set small, achievable goals that you can build on over time.
- Do it anyway. Stepping outside of your comfort zone can be scary, but if you wait for confidence to arrive it never will. When you take risks and succeed, you’ll start to believe in yourself more.
- Surround yourself with positive people. The people you spend time with have a big impact on your confidence. Surround yourself with positive people who believe in you and support your goals.
- Take care of yourself. Eating healthy, exercising, and getting enough sleep are all important for your physical and mental health. When you take care of yourself, you’ll feel better about yourself, which will boost your confidence.
Building confidence takes time and effort, but it’s worth it. When you’re confident, you’re more likely to take risks, try new things, and achieve your goals. So don’t give up. Keep working on yourself, and you’ll eventually reach your full potential.
Here are some additional tips that may help you build your confidence:
- Practice positive self-talk.When you catch yourself thinking negative thoughts, challenge them and replace them with positive ones. For example, if you think, “I’m not good enough,” remind yourself of all your strengths and accomplishments.
- Reward yourself for your successes. When you achieve a goal, take some time to celebrate your success. This will help you to recognize your accomplishments and build your self-esteem.
- Seek professional help if needed. If you’re struggling to build your confidence on your own, consider seeking professional help from a therapist or counselor. They can help you to identify the root of your confidence issues and develop strategies for overcoming them.
Remember, building confidence is a journey, not a destination. There will be ups and downs along the way, but if you keep working at it, you will eventually reach your destination.
