Wordsmith Poem – Silence

Words have power, sharing our experiences and perspectives on mental health is a great way of building understanding. So here we have some amazing wordsmiths that are willing to share their thoughts on mental health.

Tonight’s Poem is by an extremely talented guy Ash Raymond James. – Thank you Ash.

My silence is deafening these days.
It took a language class in loud
and now speaks it fluently.
When my silence is sleeping
it’s the last spark on a stick
of dynamite and I’m just waiting
for the boom.
My silence knows nothing
about personal boundaries,
it wraps itself around me
it climbs into my mouth,
it crawls into my lungs,
my lungs becomes the village,
the silence becomes the flood,
I can’t breathe,
I can’t breathe,
this silence,
is killing me.
